Brunsmeer Awareness Football Club is a mental health friendly club providing an opportunity to exercise and have fun in a relaxed environment. They welcome people from all backgrounds whatever your level of fitness, ability or football knowledge.
They run two free sessions every week, one for men and one for women:
- Brunsmeer Awareness FC (men’s) – every Tuesday afternoon from 1.30 – 3pm at Goodwin Sports Centre.
- Brunsmeer Awareness FC (women’s) – every Wednesday evening from 7 – 8pm at Goodwin Sports Centre.
Sessions include a kick about and skills training, and they have encouraged some of their members to start working towards a Level 1 Coaching Certificate. It’s a ‘turn up and play’ session, so you don’t need to book.
Brunsmeer Awareness Football Club is supported by Sheffield Health and Social Care in partnership with the FA, Sheffield United, and Sheffield Flourish with links to Brunsmeer Athletic AFC.
