The Sheffield Youth Justice Service are the Youth Offending Team (YOT) for Sheffield. They are part of a multi-agency statutory partnership between, Sheffield City Council’s Children, Young People and Families Services; South Yorkshire Police; South Yorkshire Probation Trust and NHS Sheffield.

The primary aim is to prevent offending and re-offending by young people aged 10-17 years as well as supporting young people who are involved in the Criminal Justice system. They operate an assessment system to help identify suitable programmes to address the needs of each individual young person with the intention of prevention any further offending.
