Young Minds is a national charity that works to improve the emotional wellbeing and mental health of all children and young people. They work with young people as well as their parents and professionals. The website provides detailed information for young people about their mental health, access to resources and where to find support and help. Young Minds also provide comprehensive information on accessing CAMHS as a young person.
Young Minds also provide free advice and support for parents if they are worried about their child’s mental health. As well as providing a detailed section on ways to support a child who may be struggling or experiencing emotional difficulties there is a free parents helpline open from Mon-Fri 09.30am-4pm. Call 0808 802 5544. There is also a specific parents contact form and advice if your child is in crisis that can be accessed at anytime.
