The William Merritt Centre is a charity that aim to enable greater independence for individuals who have long term or recently acquired medical conditions, mental health difficulties, disabled adults and children and older people.

They deliver the following assessments:

Medical Fitness to Drive Assessments

Our Occupational Therapists and Approved Driving Instructors assess whether your condition affects your driving ability and recommend suitable adaptions to keep you safe. (FREE NHS referral)

Passenger Access Assessments

Our Approved Driving Instructors assess your ability when accessing vehicles to ensure comfort and safety by identifying appropriate equipment and vehicles suitable to your needs. (FREE)

Car Seat Clinics

Our Occupational Therapists identify the most appropriate car seat for the child’s individual needs to ensure their safety and comfort. We can also provide a report to aid in funding applications if required. (FREE)
