The Art House is a local charity which aims to enable people from all backgrounds to develop their artistic ability and enjoyment.  They run art classes, pottery groups and workshops as well as hosting exhibitions and events.

As well as general art and pottery they also run well-being groups for adults (18+) who have varied mental health issues or additional needs. These sessions are supervised by Art House staff and volunteers helping provide a supportive and caring environment. These sessions are designed allow students to work at their own pace on individual or group projects. Over time students are supported to identify a suitable progression route that allows them to learn new skills, discover their talents and find additional ways where they can explore their interest in art and pottery.

There is fixed charge for the wellbeing classes for people who receive a Personal Budget (allocated by the NHS/Mental Health Service) and a negotiable donation is asked for from those who do not receive one (please contact The Art House to discuss in more detail).
