Hackenthorpe Lodge Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) provides support to people in South Yorkshire (including Sheffield) who have been raped or sexually assaulted. This could be recently or in the past.

The centre offers crisis support following a rape or assault. This includes a medical assessment/treatment, a forensic examination, and referrals to ongoing aftercare services. You can choose which services you access and can choose as much or as little as you would like. They will also help you to understand your rights and options.

The service is confidential and independent of the police, and members of the public can refer themselves without having reported a crime to the police. To self-refer, please call them on 0330 223 0938. You may choose to stay anonymous – you do not have to give your name to access their services.

Covid update 09/02/21: Most services continue under covid-safe conditions but may be experiencing changes to their service delivery. Contact Hackenthorpe Lodge directly for the latest information.
