HOPE is a local charity for people who have suffered a bereavement through a fire, road traffic collision or drowning. They act as a peer support group for anyone who has been bereaved in this way or has witnessed a traumatic incident, no matter your age or when the experience of trauma occurred.

Should you wish to access the peer support group please call 0114 227 0105 or send an e-mail to: info@hope-sy.org.uk and someone from the group will respond to you. The meetings take place between 6.30 – 8.30 pm on every second Wednesdays of each month at the Fire and Rescue Service Training Centre at Beaver Hill Road, Handsworth, Sheffield, S13 9QA. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be available and all are welcome to attend.

Alongside this, HOPE work in partnership with professional agencies, community or voluntary networks and other organisations throughout the local area. They also provide information through seminars, conferences and training events, which aim to address the emotional trauma suffered by the deceased’s loved ones.
