Grow is a youth development charity who works with those aged 16-24, inspiriting hope through nature.

Grow runs a number of nature based coaching programmes that aim to help combat isolation, boost wellbeing and develop employability skills.

They are currently running two main programmes:
  • Drop in well-being sessions at Holly Hagg Farm where you get the opportunity to develop skills whilst working with coaches on a range of gardening tasks.
  • They also run a walking mentoring programme called ‘Walk and Talk’.  This offers 16-24 year olds who are unemployed and at risk of being isolated the opportunity to have eight 45 minute mentoring sessions with a trained volunteer whilst on an outdoor walk. The volunteers are DBS checked and receive comprehensive training which includes safeguarding. The volunteers use coaching techniques to support the young person to identify goals to work towards. This programme can feed into some of the other activities that GROW offers if appropriate.

You can find out more about grow by sending them an email signup@growuk.org or giving them a call on 0114 321 1810
