Galop is a national LGBT+ anti-violence charity offering advice and support to people who have experienced biphobia, homophobia, transphobia, sexual violence or domestic abuse. They also support lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer people who have had problems with the police or have questions about the criminal justice system.

Galop provide information on their website.  They also provide a National LGBT+ Domestic Abuse Helpline which offers emotional and practical support for LGBT people experiencing domestic abuse, whether that’s physical, psychological, emotional, financial or sexual.

The LGBT+ Domestic Abuse Helpline is open:

  • Monday: 10am – 5pm
  • Tuesday: 10am – 5pm
  • Wednesday: 10am – 8pm
  • Thursday: 10am – 8pm
  • Friday: 10am – 5pm

A ‘trans-specific’ service is available on Tuesdays 1pm – 5pm.

Online chat service is available Wednesday and Thursday 5pm – 8pm.
