Age UK Sheffield hosts four dementia cafés across Sheffield.
The dementia cafe at Porter Valley (Bents Green) has been created as a safe, welcoming and enjoyable place for both people who are experiencing some memory loss or have a diagnosis of mild to moderate dementia and their family members, carers and friends who may be feeling a little more isolated than others. Along with tea, coffee, cake, and conversation, there are activities to engage, inform, stimulate and entertain everyone. Plus it is an opportunity to make new friends, keep active and feel more confident.
No booking required but you’re welcome to call in advance and let them know you’re coming.
The Porter Valley Cafe meets on the first and third Thursday of each month at 2pm – 4pm.
They also run dementia cafes in Dore, Totley, and Hillsborough (click on the location for more information on dates and times).
