Timebuilders is an organisation that works at the grass roots level with local people to find new ways of strengthening the community. It aims to change the lives of people who experience social disadvantage, loneliness, poverty, unemployment and mental illness.

The main premise of how the organisation works is that people volunteer for a certain amount of time to help improve their local community (e.g by litter picking, working in the community garden, helping at the food bank) and in return they get time-credits that can be spent on meals provided by the community cafe or by taking part in activities like going to the theatre or getting a ticket to watch a football match.

There are also opportunities to help at a project, organise a group or run a class.
