Shout provide a UK-wide free text service for anyone in crisis anytime, anywhere. The service is available to adults and young people.

To access, simply text ‘Shout’ to 85258

You can contact them at anytime if you’re struggling to cope, want to talk to someone, or if you feel you’re in crisis. One of their team of volunteers will respond via text as quickly as possible.

Please note, responses will be longer at times of high demand. Shout will always respond to high risk texters as a priority.

Issues they can support with include:

  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Abuse or assault
  • Self-harm
  • Bullying
  • Panic attacks
  • Relationship changes and challenges
